| Abstrak The perception of the community around the urban forest greatly influences the management of the urban forest, because it can be used as one of the inputs for the local government to pay attention and care as a facility and infrastructure that supports the needs of the community in social value and ecological value, and adds to the aesthetic value of Palu City. This research was conducted from July to September 2023, located in Kaombona City Forest, Palu City. This research was analyzed descriptively quantitatively using a Likert Scale with 4-3-2-1 scaling. The number of respondents interviewed was 50 people with the criteria of the community around the City Forest, visitors, and traders. The results showed that people's perceptions about the existence of Kaombona Urban Forest in Palu City are very high or very good, where people think that the Urban Forest is a Green Open Space that can reduce air pollution in urban areas and can also be enjoyed as a tourist attraction and increase people's income by creating jobs in the form of businesses for the community around the Urban Forest. The community's expectation is the development of the Urban Forest into a green and beautiful area to reduce air pollution in addition, as a recreational tourist attraction that is in great demand and involves them in the planning and development process of the City Forest tourist attraction both in terms of service providers for tourists and as supervisors in maintaining the preservation of tourist attractions.
