| Abstrak In Indonesia, tropical climate conditions strongly support the growth of wood-destroying organisms on wood that will be used as raw material for industry and housing. This study aims to determine the retention and effectiveness of ebony leaf solution (Diospyros celebica Bakh.) on bayur wood (Pterospermum javanicum Jungh) against subterranean termites. The research was conducted in March – May 2023. This research method used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), factor (a) concentration of preservatives in ebony leaf solution (100gr, 150gr and 200gr)/1 liter of water and factor (b) soaking time of the wood in preservative solution (1, 3 and 5) days, there were 9 treatments each with 5 replications, a total of 45 wood samples. The sample test for water content and density is 2 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm, the wood test sample is 2 cm x 2 cm x 30 cm. The highest average retention value was found at a concentration of 200gr/1 liter of water with 5 days of immersion (A3B3) of (0.060gr/cm3). The lowest average retention value was found at a concentration of 100gr/1 liter of water with 1 day immersion time (A1B1) of (0.015gr/cm3). The average value of the highest weight loss concentration treatment was found in 150gr/1 liter of water, namely 8.70%. The average value of the lowest concentration treatment for weight loss was found in 200gr/1 liter of water, namely 2.64%. |
