Abstrak Mangrove forests have important ecological functions for aquatic biota, namely as a feeding ground, spawning ground and nursery ground. This study aims to determine the density of mangrove vegetation, the diversity of fish species, and the effect of mangro ve vegetation density on the diversity of fish species. This research was conducted in October 2022 in Tosale Village, South Banawa District, Donggala Regency. This research was conducted using the line transect method or grid lines with a total of 9 plots. Fish species data was collected using traps placed purposively (purposive sampling) on each transect. The trap used to catch this type of fish is called a trap. In each plot installed 1 trap. The results of the study of the density of mangrove vegetation The total density of mangrove species in tree strata at a density of 3 found 4 species of mangroves, namely mangrove oil mangrove (Rhizophora apiculata) 33 ind/ha. lenggadai (Bruguiera parviflora) 25 ind/ha, coastal ironwood (Sonneratia alba) 24 ind/ha and Api-api putih (Avecannia marina) 17 ind/ha. The diversity of fish species in 3 conditions found 8 species of fish. And the type of fish that dominates at each vegetation density and each research plot is the kuniran fish (Epeneus Sulphureu). The effect of mangrove density on fish species diversity is the equation Y = 0.6543 + 0.6805x with an R square value of 0.458, which means that 45.83% prediction of fish species diversity is moderately correlated with mangrove vegetation density or can be explained by mangrove density Keywords: relationship, mangrove density, fish diversity |
