| Abstrak The physical properties of the soil play a role in the activity of plant roots, both in terms of nutrient absorption, water and oxygen can be a barrier to plant root movement. Given the importance of physical conditions, knowledge is needed about the physical conditions of the soil in teak stands of different ages, namely 18 years and 10-year old shoots. Efforts to determine the physical conditions of the soil in teak stands (Tectona grandis Linn.F) aged 18 years and 10-year old shoots in Uetoli Village, Ampana Tete District, Tojo Una-una Regency. The results showed that the physical conditions of the soil in 18-year-old teak stands had a sandy clay soil texture of 28.8%, dust 40.7%, clay 30.5%, moderate soil permeability with a value of 3.51 cm / hour, very high bulk density with a value of 1.51 g / cm3, poor soil porosity 37.17% and soil color 7.5 YR 3/1 very dark gray. Meanwhile, in 10-year-old Trubusan teak stands, the soil texture is clay loam with a percentage of sand of 35.0%, dust of 33.5%, clay of 31.5%. moderate permeability with a value of 3.52 cm/hour, high bulk density with a value of 1.27 g/cm3, poor porosity with a value of 44.92%, and soil color of 7.5 YR 2.5/1 black. |
