Abstrak Tanjung (Mimusops elengi Linn.) is a prospective plant species for use in urban forest formation programs. Lamtoro leaf compost is good for plants because of its high nitrogen content. This research aims to determine the effect of the dose of Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) leaf compost on the growth of tanjung seedlings (Mimusops elengi Linn.) in the field. This research was conducted for 3 months, namely from September to December 2022, located in the Arboretum area of the Faculty of Forestry, Tadulako University, Palu. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) method consisting of 4 treatments with 8 replications. The treatments given were: L0= 3 kg soil (without lamtoro leaf compost), L1= 2.5 kg soil + 0.5 kg lamtoro leaf compost/planting hole, L2= 2 kg soil + 1 kg lamtoro leaf compost/planting hole , L3= 1.5 kg soil + 1.5 kg lamtoro leaf compost/planting hole. The parameters observed were the increase in height, stem diameter, number of leaves and the value of seedling robustness. The results of the research showed that the application of lamtoro leaf compost had a significant effect on the increase in height, diameter and number of leaves of Tanjung seedlings, but had no significant effect on the firmness value. The treatment that gave the best response to the growth of tanjung seedlings was treatment L3 (1.5 kg soil + 1.5 kg lamtoro leaf compost), in all growth parameters, except for the value of seedling sturdiness.
