| Abstrak Eboni is one of the plants that naturally grow in natural forests (Diospyros celebica Bakh). This tree, which is also known locally as ebony or charcoal wood, is a member of the Ebenaceae. This study aims to assess the soil physical properties, such as bulk density, porosity, permeability, and texture. This study was conducted in Betania Village, Sintuwu Maroso KPH Region, Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency from February to May 2022. Soil is purposively sampled while taking certain factors into account; specifically, the soil is sampled from peaks, ridges, and valleys. Following the soil samples, sampling at each location consisted of five points for destrictive samples and three indestractive samples at each selected location. At the laboratory, soil samples were analyzed to find out the properties of the soil under the ebony natural stand. The soil under the ebony stand has a texture class of sandy clay, medium permeability (3.51-4.06 cm / h), poor porosity (40.37- 44.53%) and very high Bulk Density (1.36-1.51gr / cm³). |
