Abstrak
Tailings soil has many physical, chemical and biological constraints. One effort to improve tailings soil fertility is the use of organic matter in the form of goat manure or inorganic in the form of NPK fertilizer. Candlenut is one of the plants that is classified as a pioneer species because it can grow on critical land with low soil fertility and open soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer and goat manure on the growth of candlenut seedlings (Aleurites moluccana (L). Wild) on tailings soil. This research was carried out for 3 months, from April 2022 to July 2022. Located in the Farmer Group Nursery, Uwemanje Village, Kinovaro District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method which consisted of four treatment levels as follows, P0= without fertilizer (control), P1= Goat Manure, P2= NPK Fertilizer, P3= Combination of Goat Manure + NPK Fertilizer. Each of these treatments was repeated ten times, so that the total number of seedling units required was 4 x 10 = 40 (forty) seedling units. The results showed that the treatment of NPK Fertilizer and Goat Manure had a significant effect on the growth of Candlenut Seeds, namely the increase in height and increase in the number of leaves, but had no significant effect on the increase in diameter of the Candlenut Seeds (Aleurites moluccana (L). Wild).
