Abstrak Species diversity is a community-level characteristic based on its biological organization and can be used to express community structure. A community is said to have high species diversity if the community is composed of many species with the same abundance. Conversely, if the community is composed of very few species and that species is dominant, then the species diversity is low. High diversity indicates that a community has high interactions as well. Pangalasiang Village Sojol District Donggala Regency is a mangrove that grows naturally which can be said of the age of the magrove itself has been decades of life and can be seen mangroves are still awake. The research was conducted from August to October 2023 with the aim of knowing the types of mangrove plants, and knowing the Diversity Index of Mangrove Plant Species found on the coast of Pangalasiang Village. This study was conducted using the transect method by cutting the contour lines and plots were placed in Proposive sampling (intentionally), using 3 transects where the number of each transect amounted to 28 plots. Based on the calculation of the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, following the classification criteria (H'=1-3), the overall diversity index (H') of Mangrove Plant Species in Pangalasiang Village is classified as medium from the tree category (1.634), saplings (1.626) and seedlings (1.357). The results of research that has been conducted around the mangrove forest area of Pangalasiang Village identified 6 species of 490 individuals with the highest number of individuals is Rhizophora apiculata species with 139 individuals. The least species found is Avicennia marina, with a total of 42 individuals. with an overall diversity index value included in the medium category, indicating moderate species diversity, balanced productivity, and moderate ecological pressure. |
