Abstrak
Rattan is one of the sources of biological wealth in Indonesia and is one of the potential non-timber forest products. Rattan is included in the Palmae tribe (Arecaceae) climbing, thorny growing clumps or single and has a segmented stem that contains the Middle, The Shape of the diameter and length of the rattan segment varies depending on the type. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of diversity of rattan plant species in the buffer zone of Lore Lindu National Park, Gimpu Village, Kulawi Selatan district, Sigi Regency. This study uses the method of “transect line” and then observations were made by following the transect line where the placement of the starting point of the first transect plot was done deliberately (Purposive Sampling) at the location where the rattan plant was found. Transect lines are made as many as 3 each length of 500 m, with the direction of the transect cutting the contour line and then on the transect made 25 plots measuring 20 m x 20 m. In transects 2 and 3 are determined systematically with the distance between transects is 100 m. Based on the results found as many as 6 types of rattan, Batang (Calamus Zollingeri Becc), Lambang (Calamus ornatus Blume), Noko (Calamus koordersianus Becc.), Ombol (Calamus symphysipus Mart), Ronti (Calamus minahassae Warb. Ex Becc.), Togisi (Calamus inops Becc.). The most common type of rattan is the type of Rattan Lambang (Calamus ornatus Blume) with an INP of 62.32 %,.The level of diversity of rattan species found at the research site is classified as medium with an H’ value of 1.52.
