Abstrak Johar seed (Senna siamea Lamk) is one of the seeds that takes a long time to germinate. To overcome the problem of dormancy in johar seeds, namely by temperature and soaking time. This study aims to determine the effect of various temperatures and soaking time on the germination of johar seeds. The study used a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is water temperature, namely S1 = water temperature 25ºC, S2 = water temperature 50ºC, S3 = water temperature 75ºC and the second factor is soaking time, namely L1 = 12 hours and L2 = 24 hours. The total experimental units were 30 units with 10 seeds each in each replication, the total number of seeds used was 300 seeds. The results of analysis of variance showed that temperature treatment had a significant effect on the parameters of germination percentage and germination speed of johar (Senna siamea Lamk) seeds. The immersion time treatment had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The percentage of germination gave the highest yield at L2 immersion time (24 hours) with an average value (7.32%). The speed of germination gave the fastest results in the S3 treatment (75?) with an average value (0.76 days).
