| Abstrak Flood is a natural disaster caused by several natural factors. The natural factors in question include high rainfall, lower soil slopes than sea level or due to embankments or river flows that are unable to hold rainwater discharge. Low human awareness in protecting the environment can also be used as one of the triggers for flooding, including in Indonesia. In 2018, a flood disaster occurred in Morowali Utara, especially in the West Petasia District area which resulted in several villages being flooded, at least a number of sub-districts were included in the red area or prone to flooding, one of the areas included in the flood-prone category was Petasia Barat District. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to study the analysis of flood-prone areas to find out which areas are included in the flood-prone zone in Petasia Barat District, Morowali Utara Regency using a geographic information system (GIS).This research was carried out for 3 months, starting from November 2022 to January 2023, which took place in Petasia Barat District, North Morowali Regency. The method used in this study is the scoring and overlay method using Arcgis 10.4 software, as well as the field survey method to obtain coordinate points.The results of the analysis that has been carried out in the Petasia Barat sub-district are known to be divided into 3 classes of vulnerability, namely the non-flood-prone zone has an area of 13,772.13 Ha or 51.3%, a flood-prone zone of 9,888.19 Ha or 36.8%, and very flood-prone zone has an area of 3207.42 Ha or 11.9% |
