Abstrak
Mahogany (Swietenia macriphylla) is a plant that spreads throughout Indonesia, this plant has a fairly high ecological and economic value. Therefore, mahogany is very potential to be developed. The study was conducted for 3 months, from February to May 2021. Located in the Kabonena Village area, Palu District, West, this study used a factorial pattern, which consisted of 6 treatments and 10 treatments. replications, namely KIDI - 50% shade of light intensity +0 g of organic fertilizer, KID2 = 50% shade of light intensity + 100 g of organic fertilizer KID3 = 50% shade of light intensity + 200 g of organic fertilizer, K2D1 = no shade / 100% of light intensity + 0 g organic fertilizer, K2D2 - no shade /100 light intensity + 100 g organic fertilizer and K2D3 = no shade/100% light intensity + 200gr organic fertilizer The parameters observed were increase in height, diameter, and number of leaves. Measurement data using analysis of variance (F test) with test. Least Significant Difference (BNT) 5% level. The results showed that: Light intensity had a significant effect on all observation parameters. Light intensity 50% gave the best effect on the increase in height (0.905 cm) diameter (0.699 mm) and number of leaves (11,500 strands). The dose of organic fertilizer had a significant effect on all parameters observed, the dose of 200 gr fertilizer gave the best effect on the increase in height (1,335.SA), diameter (0,969 mm) and number of leaves (14,500 strands). The interaction between light intensity and the dose of organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the increase in stem diameter but not with the increase in height and number of leaves Keywords: plant growth, dose of organic fertilizer, and mahagony (Swietenia macrophylla.)
