Abstrak
This research was carried out for three months from January to April 2022, at the BPDAS Palu-Poso Permanent Nursery, Tadulako University, Palu, Central Sulawesi. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method which consisted of 4 treatments, namely: P0 = 1 kg soil without gamal leaf compost (Control), P1 = 1 kg soil: 200 g Gamal leaf compost, P2 = 1 kg soil: leaf compost Gamal 250 g, P3 = Soil 1 kg : Compost Gamal leaves 300 g. Of the four treatments, each was repeated ten times so that a total of 4 x 10 = 40 experimental sample units (seedlings). Analysis of variance was used to find out if the effect of the treatment had a significant or not significant effect on the observation parameters, then it was continued by using the F table at the 5% level, if the F count was greater than the F table at 5% then a further test was carried out for the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the level 5%. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the application of gamal leaf compost had a significant effect on the mango (Mangifera Indica L) seedlings. then the BNJ test was continued at the 5% level, namely the height increase of mango seedlings in treatment P3 = 6.2 cm was not significantly different from P2 = 5.8 cm but significantly different in treatment P1 = 4.7 cm and P0 = 3.9 cm. The diameter of mango seedlings in treatment P3 = 1.22 mm was not significantly different but significantly different in treatment P2 = 0.96 mm P1 = 0.69 mm and P0 = 0.63 mm. The number of mango seedling leaves in treatment P3 = 4.3 strands was not significantly different from P2 = 3.7 strands but significantly different in treatments P1 = 3.1 strands and P0 = 2.5 strands.
