Abstrak Mangroves are tree plants or plant communities that live between the sea and land which are affected by the tides. Central Sulawesi Mangrove Forest has experienced a very drastic decline in population, even in the last 10 years or so, every year the mangrove ecosystem in Central Sulawesi has been damaged in an area of 2,368.5 ha. To prevent and cope with mangrove forest degradation, it is necessary to map and distribute mangroves. The purpose of this study was to determine the health level of mangrove forests in Ogomolos Village, Mepanga District, Parigi Moutong Regency using Sentinel-2A imagery. This research was carried out for 3 months, namely from July to September 2021 in the Mangrove Forest Area, Ogomolos Village, Mepanga District, Parigi Moutong Regency. The methods used in this research are NDVI (Normalized Different Vegetation Index), field test and correlation test between the NDVI value in the image and the stand density value in the field. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 health classifications of mangrove forests in Ogomolos Village, Mepanga District, Parigi Moutong Regency with the first classification, there are 14.39 ha or 38% with very good mangrove conditions. Second, 11.62 ha or 31% with good mangrove conditions. Third, 10.65 ha or 28% with normal mangrove conditions. Fourth, 0.11 ha or 0% with poor mangrove conditions. Fifth, 0.79 ha or 2% with very poor mangrove conditions. Meanwhile, the NDVI value has a very strong correlation of 0.950 to the results of the calculation of mangrove density in the field as an aspect of mangrove health assessment. |
