| Abstrak One alternative to producing good super teak seedlings is the use of suitable media for seedling growth so as to produce healthy seedlings with optimal growth. The use of organic matter mixed with soil is expected to increase the growth of super teak seedlings. The addition of organic matter to the seedling growing media has a significant role in improving the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil which will affect the growth of the seedling. So the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving various doses of gamal leaf compost on the growth of super teak seedlings (Tectona grandis Linn.f).This research was carried out for 3 months, from July 2021 to August 2021, at the Permanent Nursery of BPDAS-HL Palu-Poso, Tadulako University, Palu. This research used a completely randomized design method, which consisted of 4 treatments, namely: P0=Soil without compost Gamal leaf (Control), P1 = 1 kg soil + 100 g gamal leaf compost, P2 = 1 kg soil + 150 g gamal leaf compost, and P3 = 1 kg soil + 200 g gamal leaf compost. Each treatment consisted of 10 replications for a total of 40 samples. Observation parameters were increase in height, diameter, and number of leaves. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) with Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at 5% significance level. This study showed that the administration of various doses of gamal leaf compost had a significant effect on the increase in height, diameter and number of leaves of super teak seedlings.
