Abstrak
Ultisols are soils that have low nutrient availability. Therefore, efforts are being made to improve soil fertility and increase plant growth by adding guano organic fertilizer made from bat droppings. In addition, for the development of ultiso soil and red jabon seedlings, it is necessary to support good planting media to produce good quality seeds. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of various doses of organic guano fertilizer and ultizol soil on the growth of red jabon (Anthocephalus macrophyllus (Roxb) Havil) seedlings in polybags. This research was conducted for (three) months, from January to April 2021, which is located in the Permanent Nursery of BPADASHL Palu-Poso, Tadulako University, Central Sulawesi. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 (four) treatments, namely: P0 = Ultisol 1 kg soil without Guano organic fertilizer (control), P1 = Ultisol soil 850g + Guano organic fertilizer 150g, P2 = Ultisol soil 800g + Guano organic fertilizer 200g, P3 = Ultisol soil 750g + Guano organic fertilizer 250g. Each treatment consisted of 10 replicates so that in total there were 40 seedlings. Parameters observed in this study were increase in height, increase in diameter, increase in the number of leaves, and the robustness of seedlings. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) and further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at 5% level. The results of analysis of variance showed that the comparison treatment of Guano organic fertilizer and ultizol soil had a significant effect on height increase, leaf number increase, and sturdiness value and had no significant effect on the diameter of Jabon red seedlings in Polybags. Based on the results of the 5% Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) further test, it showed that the average number of heights, number of leaves, and the value of the robustness of red jabon seedlings in treatment P3 were significantly different from treatments P2, P1, and P0. The treatment that gave the best response to the growth of red jabon seedlings was P3 treatment (750g Ultisol soil + 250g guano organic fertilizer), on all growth parameters.
