Abstrak
The research was carried out for 3 months, from April to July 2021, located in the BPDASHL Permanent Nursery of Tadulako University, the study consisted of 4 treatments P0 = No compost (control), P1 = top soil 300 g + 300 g compost, P2 = top soil 400 g + 200 g compost, P3 = top soil 500 g + 100 g compost. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) with the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) level 5%.in treatment P3 were significantly different from treatments P2, P1, and P0. The treatment that gave the best response to mahogany growth was P3 (top soil 500 g + 100 g compost) on all growth parameters. The results of the average increase in height of mahogany seedlings from the highest and lowest were P3 = 7.83 cm, P1 = 6.66 cm, P2 = 6.56, P0 = 6.31 cm. The results of the average increase in diameter of mahogany seedlings from the highest to the lowest were P3 = 1.75 mm, P2 = 1.25 mm, P0 = 0.8 mm, P1 = 0.7 mm. The average increase in the number of leaves of mahogany seedlings from the highest to the lowest was P3 = 6.27 strands, P1 = 5.63 strands, P2 = 5.63 strands, and P0 = 2.90 strands.
