Abstrak Abstract Plants are biological diversity that grows wild or that has been cultivated. Since ancient times, plants have been used as traditional medicine whose use has been passed down from generation to generation. Conditions like this, make traditional heritage will gradually experience extinction, therefore it is necessary to do research to find information and documentation about traditional medicinal plants. The purpose of this study is to record and document the types of medicinal plants, and how to use plants as medicine in traditional communities in Kantewu Village, Pipikoro District, Sigi Regency. This research was carried out for three months, namely October to December 2021, which implemented in Kantewu village, Pipikoro sub-district, Sigi district, Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Interviews were conducted on the Kantewu village community who were selected as respondents. Determination of the number of respondents was determined by the slovin formula and the results obtained were 45 respondents including key respondents (sando). From the results of the interviews, key informants were proven, regarding the use and benefits of medicinal plants. Medicinal plants whose scientific names are not yet known are specimens taken for the identification process at the Plant Biosystematics Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNTAD. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis, the results of the data were grouped based on the types of plants, parts used, and processing methods. The use of plants is boiled, pounded, grated, heated, and consumed directly, the most common method of use is boiled. |
