Abstrak Mangrove forests have important ecological functions for aquatic biota, namely as a feeding ground, a spawning ground, and a nursery ground. One of the aquatic biota that utilizes this function is the mangrove crab (Scylla sp.). This study aims to determine the density of mangrove vegetation and mud crab (Scylla sp.). This research was conducted from January to March 2021 in Limboro Village, Central Banawa District, Donggala Regency. The method used in this research is the vegetation analysis method using transect lines or plotted lines. Observation transects were made in 3 vegetation conditions, namely relatively intact, disturbed, and sparse vegetation with a total of 11 plots. The data collection of Mangrove Crab (Scylla sp.) was carried out using the trap method which was placed intentionally (Purposive Sampling) on each transect. The traps used to catch mud crabs are called traps and the bait is scad fish (Decapterus macarellus). In each plot, 5 traps were installed. The results of the study The density of mangrove vegetation in tree strata in all density conditions was classified as dense, medium and rare, namely 366 - 1600 ind/ha.
