| Abstrak The most prominent problems are forest use and illegal use of forest areas, claims to forest land rights, the existence of critical land, the negative impact of past HPH activities, weak institutional capacity and difficulty in resource mobility. This has an impact on changes in hydrological characteristics in the sub-watershed area. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the suitability of the use of the area in the permanent production forest function in the Dolago Watershed (DAS) in order to provide accurate information. The method used is image analysis to identify the types of land use in the permanent production forest area and the analysis of the suitability of the function of the fixed production forest area using a Geographic Information System (GIS) by overlaying. The results of the analysis show that the land use in the permanent production forest of the Dolago watershed with an area of ??281.64 Ha is forest land use covering an area of ??123.16 Ha (43.73%), shrubs 119.79 Ha (42.53%), dry land agriculture mixed 19.35 Ha (6.87%), open land 10.13 Ha (3.60%), savanna/grassland 9.21 Ha (3.27%). For land use in permanent production forest in accordance with the results of the determination of area functions are forest and mixed dry land agriculture, while those that are not suitable are shrubs, open land and savanna/grasslands. With a suitable land use area of ??142.51 Ha or 50.60% and an inappropriate land use area of ??139.13 Ha or 49.40%. |
