This research was carried out from November to December 2020 for leda bark and continued in March 2021 for leda stem wood at the Research Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of secondary metabolites from the bark and bark extract of leda wood. The extraction method in this study used maceration with ethanol as a solvent. The extract obtained was then analyzed for phytochemicals through several tests, namely the test for alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids, terpenoids, and carotenoids. The results showed that the water from the leda bark sample was 8.27% and the leda stem wood sample was 9.34%. The results of the phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of leda bark showed positive results containing alkaloids, saponins, and steroids and the results of the phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extracts of leda bark showed positive results containing alkaloids, tannins, steroids and carotenoids. |
