Abstrak Diversity is a community that has different characteristics from other communities. Community characteristics in an environment are biodiversity, the more diverse the biotic components (biodiversity), the higher the diversity. The less diversity, the lower the biodiversity, and vice versa, the more diversity, the higher the diversity. The purpose of this study was to identify and calculate the diversity of plant species in the Bakiriang Wildlife Reserve. The method used is vegetation analysis using the plotted path method. The results showed that there were 61 species from 34 plant families found in the Bakiriang Wildlife Reserve Area which had the highest important value index (INP) being the Aren (Arenga pinnata) plant species with a value of 15,1% (trees), then the Kemiri (Aleuritus moluccana) with a value of 12,7% (pole), then the type of Walnut (Canarium sp.) with a value of 11,1% (sapling), and finally the type of Candlenut (Aleuritus moluccana) with a value of 6.63% (seedlings) . A high Importance Value Index indicates that the species has the highest number of individuals, the density and frequency of being found in the community is high. While the plant species that had the lowest INP were Balande (Macaranga sp.), Noni (Morinda citrifolia), Rattan (Calamus sp.), Kapurung (Ardisia humilis Vahl), Langi Bajo (Derris sp.) with an INP value of 1,24%. The lack of INP values of the five plant species was caused by the lack of distribution of each of these plant species. As for the species diversity index (H') of plants in the Bakiriang Wildlife Reserve Area, it belongs to the high category. At the tree level it is 3,57 (height), at the pole level it is 3,61 (height), at the sapling level it is 3,80 (height), at the seedling and understorey level it is 4,01 (height).
