| Abstrak The existence of bird species on Pasoso Island plays an important role for the ecosystem that is formed on the island and its surroundings. An environment that is considered suitable as a habitat for birds will provide food, shelter and suitable breeding places for birds. Each type of bird has its own way of adapting life to its environment. The purpose of this study was to identify bird species and associations of bird species in the Pasoso Island Wildlife Reserve. The usefulness of this research is expected to be used as a reference for making bird conservation strategies in the Pasoso Island Wildlife Reserve. The technique of data collection is done by using the Point count method. Observations were made on the sample unit (counting point) in the form of a circle with a radius of r = 25 m. The placement of sample units (counting points) uses the Systematic Sampling method with a total of 48 points of observation and a distance of 100 m from one point to another. In this study, six transect lines were used in old secondary forest habitat, two transect lines in garden habitat, one transect line in shrub habitat and for collecting data on bird species in this research location, which were divided into two teams in old secondary habitat and gardens. The data were analyzed using a 2x2 Contingency table and the results could be verified using the Chi-Square table at degrees of freedom = 1. |
