Abstrak
Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk. is one type of forest plant with high economic value. Ex-gold mines are marginal soils whose physical and biological properties are no longer fertile. One alternative solution to overcome this problem is to add Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and charcoal to the growing media. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with a factorial pattern. The first factor (M) is the provision of AMF consisting of two levels and the second factor (A) is the type of charcoal consisting of four levels, so that there are 8 treatment combinations, namely M0A0 = Soil without AMF and charcoal (Control), M0A1 = Soil + rice husk charcoal, M0A2= Soil + Acacia wood charcoal, M0A3 = Soil + Coconut shell charcoal, M1A0 = Soil + FMA, M1A1= Soil + FMA + Rice husk charcoal, M1A2 = Soil + FMA + Acacia wood charcoal, M1A3 = Soil + FMA + Charcoal coconut shell. Each treatment combination was repeated 5 times so that 40 agarwood seedlings were needed. Analysis of variance was used to determine whether the treatment had a significant effect on the observation parameters, if it had a significant effect, a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) was carried out. The results showed that the application of AMF and various types of charcoal had a significant effect on the increase in height, number of leaves, and diameter of agarwood seedlings, but did not significantly affect the value of stem sturdiness. The combination of M1A1 treatments gave a better effect in increasing the growth of agarwood seedlings in polybags, where the average value of the increase in seedling height was 2.68 cm, diameter was 0.46 mm, number of leaves was 4.60 and the value of stem firmness was 4.49.
