Abstrak
Jabon is a type of fast growing tree and has advantages with other types of plants, specifically easy cultivation techniques, wide distribution, and high economic value. The development of large-scale plantation forests requires trees that have good quality and quantity of seedlings to obtain good quality seedlings that are strongly influenced by the quality of the weaning media. Weaning media provides nutrients, water and space for root growth. Moringa plants contain growth hormones namely cytokines, plant hormones that induce cell division, and encourage the growth of new cells so that it is expected that when used as fertilizer can spur plant growth. Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi provide benefits for plants including increasing nutrient uptake, expanding the spread of hyphae in the soil, producing hormones and growth regulators, improving soil conditions, enhancing vitality and rate of growth of new seedlings. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method consisting of four levels of treatment, namely: S0 = Soil without Moringa leaf compost fertilizer and mycorrhizae (control), S1 = Soil + Moringa leaf compost fertilizer (3 + 1), S2 = Soil + Mycorrhizae 10 grams / seedlings, S3 = Soil + Moringa leaf compost fertilizer (3 + 1) + Mycorrhizae 10 grams / seedlings. The results showed that the treatment of moringa (Moringa oleifera L.) leaf and compost arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi significantly affected the growth of Jabon seedlings such as height, diameter, number of leaves, crown wet weight, root wet weight, crown dry weight and root dry weight. Jabon seedling growth (Anthocephalus cadamba Roxb. Miq.) Was best obtained in soil treatment + mycorrhizal 10 g / seedling (S2) with an average height increase of 6.27 cm, an average diameter increase of 0.78 mm, an average increase in diameter the number of leaves 4.5 strands, canopy wet weight 10.68 g, root wet weight 2.94 g, crown dry weight 2.82 g and root dry weight 0.99 g. Keywords: Jabon, moringa leaf compost, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi
