Abstrak Infiltration rate is the process of vertical absorption of water into the soil. Infiltration rate is the amount of water that seeps into the soil in a certain time. While the infiltration capacity is the maximum value of the infiltration rate. Infiltration in each land use can be different if the physical properties of the soil are different. Different land uses show different vegetation cover, and each type of vegetation has a different root system and produces a source of soil organic matter in different amounts. the purpose of this study was to determine the rate of soil infiltration on several land uses in Baku Bakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. This research was carried out from August to September 2020 in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research is starting with conducting a field survey to determine the coordinates of the measurement points. Location determination was carried out purposively (purposive sampling) in four locations, namely primary dryland forest, secondary dryland forest, mixed dryland agriculture, and shrubs. The results of the study showed that infiltration rate measurements on four land uses obtained primary dryland forest yields of 4.41 cm/hour medium criteria, secondary dryland forests of 4.60 cm/hour medium criteria, mixed dryland agriculture of 4.97 cm/hour medium criteria, and the highest is thickets of 6.60 cm/hour rather fast criterion.
