Abstrak Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria ) is a type of forest vegetation that has environmental benefits in terms of reducing carbon emissions. Biomass and carbon contained in forests play an important role in managing forest ecosystems and become one of the important bases considered in sustainable forest management activities. This study aims to estimate the biomass and carbon estimates of sengon stands in the Community Forest Plantation area of West Tojo District using purposive sampling method, allometric equations of sengon stands, NDVI values on sentinel 2A images to obtain vegetation density index data, and the results of linear regression analysis equations to determine the effect of vegetation index on the estimation of biomass potential. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the biomass potential in the dense density class was 5,672.92 tons/ha and carbon was 2,836.46 tons/ha, the medium density class was 4,398.78 tons/ha and carbon was 2,199.39 tons/ha, and the carbon class was 2,199.39 tons/ha. rare density of 2.98 tons/ha and carbon of 1.49 tons/ha. |
