Abstrak
Village Forest Management Rights (HPHD) are management rights in protected forest areas or production forests that are granted to village institutions within a certain time limit and area. The development of the village forest program is one of the government's manifestations to provide access to the community in managing forests and to improve the welfare and empowerment of village communities around the forest. This research was carried out for two months, from February to March 2021 in Tongku Village, Tojo District, Tojo Una-una Regency. The method used in this study uses a descriptive research method which aims to provide an overview of the community's attitude towards granting forest management rights to the village of Tongku Village, Tojo District, Tojo Una- Una Regency, without making comparisons or relationships between the variables studied, the measurement scale used is analysis. Likert scale attitude, for the Likert scale analysis is based on data classification, namely the attitude scale, score and category.Based on the results of the study using a Likert scale measurement scale that the community's attitude towards the granting of village forest management rights, has a good attitude scale and is concluded to be in the good category. This is evidenced by the response of the public who tend to be positive in providing statements and answers through interviews. The high attitude of the community in this case is because the benefits of granting village forest management rights can be felt by most of the people of Tongku Village.
