Abstrak Moringa is a plant that has many functions, from a source of nutrition to a conservation plant. Light intensity changes in the stages of the photosynthesis process as an adaptation to the amount of light. The need for water plays an important role as the main constituent of tissues, solvents, and the reaction medium for cell metabolism. This study measured light intensity and watering frequency on the growth of Moringa seedlings. This research was conducted for three months, from October to December 2019 in Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. The method used was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, namely light intensity and watering frequency. The data analysis used was Variance Analysis (F Test) and continued with Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ) at the 0.05% level. The results showed that light intensity had a significant effect on the growth of moringa seeds, N2 treatment gave the best results. to the increase in seedling height (37.82 cm) and number of leaves (11.08). The treatment of watering frequency had a significant effect on P2 treatment which gave the best results in height increase (33.80 cm) and increase in the number of seeds (10.09 pieces), while P1 treatment gave the best results on increase in diameter and (3.72 mm) strength of seedlings. the lowest value (8.62). The interaction of light intensity and frequency of watering had a significant effect on the increase in height and number of seedling leaves in the treatment combination (N2P2) with the highest average value of 40.224 cm and 11.96 leaves. |
