Abstrak Carbon Dioxide has the highest contribution to Greenhouse Gas content, which is 55% of carbon emissions by human activities. Forests have an important role in carbon absorption through photosynthesis and are stored in the form of biomass. Seeing the function of forests as carbon sinks, information about the amount of carbon obtained by a forest area (carbon stock) is important. This study aims to determine how much carbon stock is stored in protected forest stands in Lembomawo District, Poso Regency using Sentinel-2A imagery. The method used in this research is the non- destructive method and uses allometric equations in the calculation and determination of biomass for carbon calculations, image correction and the NDVI method approach to analyze the density level of vegetation using Sentinel 2-A imagery and correlation test was also carried out to combine carbon values and NDVI values to produce a carbon stock distribution map. From the analysis of Sentinel 2-A imagery using NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) allometric equations, it was found that the amount of carbon stored in the Kagila Protected Forest was 30,888.13 tons/ha with a protected forest area of 137.54 ha. Mapping the distribution of carbon stocks through analysis of Sentinel 2-A images can be done using a regression equation model. By obtaining an R2 value of 43%, this means that the amount of carbon value in the field of 43?n be determined by the NDVI value through the regression equation y = 15,844x - 4,743. The remaining 57% is determined by other factors. Keywords: Protected Forest, Carbon Stock, Sentinel 2-A Image, NDVI |
