| Abstrak Changes in land cover and land use are very important information in forest monitoring management. Changes that have occurred from certain periods of time need to be known to help provide additional information in determining better management. The aim of this research is to determine changes in land cover in different time frames and land use in protected forest areas in Berdikari Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The method used in this research is the comparison method by identifying images in different years, namely the Landsat 8 imagery in 2014 and 2019 to analyze the occurrence of changes in land cover, both images are classified in a guided manner, after which the accuracy of the accuracy level is tested using the method. consfusion matrix and observing the state of land use. From the results of the analysis carried out from two images recorded from different time periods, it can be seen that there has been a change in the area of land cover of each land cover class, primary forest has decreased by 92.34 ha, secondary forest cover has increased by 90.54 ha, open land with an increase in area of 8.73 ha, plantations with a decrease in area of 6.84 ha, water bodies with a decrease in area of 1.53 ha and the dominant land use is cacao plantations covering an area of 326 ha and open land where there are various kinds of plants such as corn, chilies and various other agricultural crops. |
