Abstrak
Mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq) is widely planted as a protective tree because it is heat resistant and has good adaptability to various soil conditions and has a high economic value so that it is cultivated for industrial raw material sources. Mahogany plant growth is very slow due to soil and environmental conditions so that mycorrhizal fungi must be given. Giving Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi is one solution that can be applied to marginal land such as dry land. This study aims to determine the effect of adding various doses of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on growth media with parallelopathy on the growth of mahogany seedlings (Swietenia mahagoni). This study used a completely randomized design method (CRD), with treatment consisting of four levels of doses of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF), namely: M0 = without AMF (control), M1 = 15g, M2 = 20g and M3 = 25g. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance F test with a level of 5% was carried out to determine whether the effect of the treatment was significant. The results of this study indicated that the dosage treatment of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi had a significant effect on seedling height, seedling diameter, and number of leaves and had no significant effect on the firmness value of seedlings. The treatment of doses 25g (M3) was better compared than other treatments, with the highest average height increament of 6.64 cm, diameter 1.49 mm, and the number of leaves of 5.5.
