Abstrak HUSNA – L13116042. Community Response to the Existence of Mangrove Forests in Salusumpu Village, Banawa Selatan District, Donggala Regency. Supervised by Hamzari. Conceptually, people who live around the forest are very aware of the function of the forest itself, because they can directly feel its role and function. This research will be conducted for 3 months, namely August to October 2023. The types of data used consist of primary data and secondary data. The average age of the highest respondents is 27.34.39 years and the middle is 29.37 years, and the lowest is 25.29.31.36.41-60 years, the level of community education is elementary school (50.0%), junior high school (29.2%), high school (12.5%). The majority of the livelihoods of the population in Salusumpu Village are farmers, farm laborers, and fishermen, the respondents with the highest income are respondents who work as coconut copra farmers 1 person (4.3%) as much as Rp. 10,000,000 million per/1 quarter. Mangrove species are used as materials for firewood (dry), household utensils, fish pond needs, as a support for boat balance, and mangrove fruit which is used as syrup. The community does not cut down mangrove trees, but rather utilizes dry mangrove trees. The community's response to the existence of mangrove forests in Salusumpu Village as a whole falls into the weak category, where the level of all respondent characteristic variables, namely age, education, occupation, and income, towards the response variable falls into the weak or low category and has no relationship or influence at all on the response variable. |
