Abstrak The growth of turi seedlings (Sesbania grandiflora L. Pers) of course requires a growing medium with a good composition and sufficient nutrient content, the type and condition of each growing medium plays a role in providing water and nutrients for turi seedlings so that it is very influential on growth and yields. plant. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various growing media on the growth of Turi (Sesbania grandiflora L. Pers) seedlings. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method, which consisted of four treatments, namely: M0 = Soil (control), M1 = Soil + sand (1:1), M2 = Soil + roasted husk (1:1). ), M3 = Soil + sawdust (1:1). Each treatment was repeated ten times, so the total number of seedling units required was 40 (forty) seedling units. Parameters observed were seedling height, stem diameter of seedlings, number of leaves of seedlings, number of petioles, and the value of seedling robustness. Soil + sand (M1) treatment gave the best effect on the growth of turi seedlings. compared the treatment of control soil (M0), soil + burnt husk (M2), soil + sawdust (M3). with an average height of 38 (cm), with an average stem diameter of 2.83 (mm), with an average number of petioles 11.8, number of leaflets 202.7, and the value of seedling stem robustness 13.64.
