| Abstrak Forest Banggai island’s located in the BanggaiLaut city. Identification the type of land use on the Banggaiisland has been important to done. Because to know, what land use is done by human activity. Using citralandsat 8 is so much needed to identification kind of land use. This study be run in area The Forest Banggaiisland’s, precisely on the Banggai island, the Banggailaut city, and province of Sulawesi Tengah. The data used in this study is a 2016 citralandsat 8 with its management process using the arc gis 10.3 app. Research time was carried out from August to October 2019. This study uses Citra Digital analysis as a guide classification (supervised). The methods used in this study isthe maximum lixelihood classifier method. And then using test akurasi to evaluate the precision of a dedicated land use classification based on training area. From this study, that the interpretation of Citra lansad 8’s 2016 obtaining result from land use of the forest Banggai island, there are only 3 classes. Such as shrubs, plantations, and forests.The overal size of the plantation is 3.215,15 ha (66,82%). Next, the size of land use for forests is 786,79 (16,35%) and the shrubs have vast areas is 809,87 ha (16,83%). So the size of Banggaiisland is 4.811,81 Ha. The map classification of the land use to forest areas of Banggai island has a total of 96, 15%, and so this research was done in a very good way.
