Abstrak This study aims to determine the biomass and carbon stock of undergrowth in candlenut stands in Uwemanje village, Kinovaro sub-district, Sigi district. survey method by making measuring plots to take samples of understorey plants in candlenut stands. Making measuring plots is done by making three lines. The first path is placed in the mountain valley, the second is the slope of the mountain and the third is placed on the mountain ridge. With a length of 100 m and each path is made a quadrant measuring 1 m x 1 m as much as 10 plots and the distance between the other quadrants is 20 m. This study shows that the amount of understorey biomass in candlenut stands is 0.17 tonnes / ha and carbon is 0.08 tonnes / ha. Biomass and carbon of understorey in candlenut stands vary, line 1 has biomass of 0.23 tonnes / ha and carbon of 0.11 tonnes / ha, line 2 has biomass of 0.18 tonnes / ha and carbon of 0.10 tonnes / ha, while in line 3 has a biomass of 0.09 tonnes / ha and carbon of 0.08 tonnes / ha. |
