| Abstrak Forests have a very important function for life both in terms of ecology, environment, social and economic terms. Forests have a dual function, especially for people who live around the forest because they are directly involved with the forest. In general, people who live around the forest will have a higher dependence, therefore the surrounding community or also called the local community will still try to maintain and manage the forest even though there will be some people who do not care about the function of the forest for their lives. This study aims to determine the attitudes and behavior of local communities towards village forest management in Namo Village, Kulawi District, Sigi Regency. The usefulness of this research is that it can be used as information material regarding the attitudes and behavior of local communities towards the management of the Namo Village Forest, Kulawi District, Sigi Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through this multiplication of key respondent information (key information), interviews were conducted in depth so that this research can describe a certain condition or a group of people systematically, factually and accurately based on facts in the field. The attitude of the Namo Village community understands the management of the Village Forest.
