Abstrak The ability of soil to absorb water is reflected in environment conditions above it. Physical condition of soil are related to real condition of soil form. Teak stands in Tanantovea district are attracting for research because both of Teak stands are monoculture type but it has different age order, implantation pattern and also different vegetate environment. Research about soil physical condition under Teak stand are still rarely done, especially under even and un-even aged Teak stands. Purpose of this research are to enrich knowledge and may be a source of information about physical condition of soil under even and un-even aged Teak (Tectona grandis Linn,F). This research held around February to April 2022 in even aged Teak stand and uneven ages Teak started with field survey, followed by taking soil samples using purposive sampling method inside a plot at each Teak stands and collected soil samples were analyzed in Laboratory. Research result shown that soil conditions under even aged Teak has loam soil texture, slow permeability, high bulk and particle density, and low porosity. While soil conditions under un-even aged Teak has sandy clay loam soil texture, slow permeability, high bulk and particle density and also low porosity. |
