Abstrak Land and water are natural resources bestowed by God Almighty to the Indonesian people. Natural resources of forest, land and water are one of the basic capitals in national development that must be preserved so that they can provide sustainable benefits. Floating sediment is sediment that moves above the surface of the riverbed. The purpose of this study was to determine the water discharge and floating sediment content transported with the Torire River flow. This research was carried out for 2 (two) months from September to November 2020 with the research location on the Torire River in Torire Village, Central Lore District, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The method used is a survey method for collecting data at the Torire river outlet by measuring the cross-sectional area of the river and the velocity of the water flow. Based on the results of measurements of water discharge (Q) during the study period in the Torire river, it shows that the average water discharge of the Torire river is 3,992 m3/sec. The rate of floating sediment transported along with river runoff is 15.15 gr/ltr on average. Water discharge has a positive relationship with Dissolved Sediment Discharge with a correlation value of 0.97. The floating sediment load rate will increase along with the increase in the amount of river runoff. |
