Abstrak ABSTRACT Not all of the rainwater that falls on the earth's surface can reach the ground. Some fall on the vegetation canopy and are held for a while before falling to the ground surface and some evaporate into the atmosphere. Raindrops that fall on vegetation are divided into escaping water that drips on the leaves or the spaces between the canopy (throughfall) and flows through the stems. Water is very influential for the life of living things, is a major need in daily life, especially rainwater which plays an important role for the growth of vegetation in the forest, so a study related to the thickness of rain and through-flow is needed. This study aims to determine the volume of through-flow (throughfall), and to determine the relationship between thick rain and through-flow (throughfall) on rubber plants with different age classes in Ronta Village, Lemboraya District, North Morowali Regency. This research activity was carried out in the industrial forest area of ??Ronta Village, Lemboraya District, North Morowali Regency by using a survey method, namely by installing a rain gauge and throughfall in the production forest area which is the research location, measuring the volume of water accommodated in each area. -Each instrument is located in the area, which is divided into measuring the thickness of rain, 3 measuring devices are placed in an open area and 9 gauges are placed under the rubber tree canopy, each of which is 3 trees and placed randomly. The results showed that the average value of rain thickness during the study period was 4.86 mm, and the average value of through-flow on 5-year-old rubber trees was 2.40 mm, and the average value of 20-year-old rubber trees. year is 3.31 mm, thus obtaining an overall average throughfall of 3.06 mm. the regression coefficient (R²) of the two rubber trees of different age classes is 0.6611 and the value (r) is 0.88, while the regression coefficient (R²) for 20-year-old rubber trees is 0.5383 and the value (r ) is 0.82 so that the overall regression coefficient (R²) is 0.7144. This shows that 71.44% of the rainfall becomes a see-through flow, the remaining 28.56 is influenced by other factors. The relationship between rain thickness and through-flow (r) has a very strong relationship, which is 0.93. Keywords: Rain Thickness Relationship |
