| Abstrak RIAN HIDAYAT - L 131 12 040, Community Preference for Forest Utilization in Bambasiang Village, Palasa District, Parigi Moutong District, guided by Imran Rachman. The life of the village community around the forest cannot be separated from the forest where they depend on. The forest is a source of fulfillment of daily living needs and a source of family income. Until now research on community preferences in the use of forest resources has not been done much. Whereas community-based forest managers need information about these preferences. Thus the research question that will be examined in this study is how the preference for the use of forest resources in the production forest area in Bambasiang Village. For this reason, this study aims to determine community preferences for forest use in Bambasiang Village, Palasa District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This research has been conducted for two months, namely from October to November 2019. The research location is located in Bambasiang Village, Palasa District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This research method uses a survey method, which describes quantitatively the tendency of forest resource utilization preferences from a population of people in Bambasiang Village. Types of data sources that will be used are primary data and secondary data. The number of respondents to be interviewed using the scoring method in this study amounted to 30 families with a simple random method. With the criteria the informant is a resident of Bambasiang Village. Research results in the Bambasiang Village show that the community uses the forest as their main source of income. The highest preference for forest use for the community in the Bambasiang Village is the use of production forests as a source of land for gardening, a place to pick up bearing wood, and collect rattan. |
