Abstrak Eyeshadow is one type of makeup cosmetics that contained of color pigments applied to the eyelid. The cosmetics circulating in the community can contain lead and K10 Red dye which is a synthetic dye used as a textile coloring agent. However, these two ingredients are often misused at excessive concentrations, so that it can endanger health, one of them in cosmetic eyeshadow preparations.This study aims to determine the content and the number of lead (Pb) and K10 Red dyes levels in eyeshadow cosmetics that circulate in the market city of Palu. The samples used are based on the purposive sampling method with sample criteria that do not have a BPOM license number registration, does not include the active ingredient and expired date, and does not have a halal certificate. The sample testing with two phases: early phase is qualitative test using TLC and the second phase is quantitative using UV-Vis spectrophotometry for K10 Red dye and SSA method for Lead (Pb). The results showed that there are 10 samples contained of lead (Pb), the lowest levels found in samples A = 0.0045 mg/g and the highest in the sample B = 19.6477 g/g and E = 19.0891 g/g, and 4 samples contained K10 red dye with the levels in each sample of D = 65.346 ?m/g, sample E = 31.85 mg/g, sample G = 100.068 g/g, and sample J = 20.378 mg/g. From this research it can be concluded that there are 10 samples positive containing of lead (Pb) and 4 samples containing red dye K10 taken from Market in city of Palu.
