Abstrak
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) that occurred in Central Sulawesi increased in 2018 recorded 1070 cases with 7 deaths, while the number of cases in 2017 was 821 cases with 8 deaths. The problem faced is the length of stay is very influential on decreasing and increasing hematocrit and platelet values. The purpose of this study is to look at the relationship of hematocrit and platelet counts to the length of stay of DHF patients. Observational analysis research with Cross Sectional Study approach data collected retrospectively. Data is processed using SPSS For Windows version 16.0. Subjects were obtained 37 DHF inpatients. The results obtained from the relationship between the number of hematocrit and platelets on the length of stay of DHF patients is the significance value for the hematocrit variable p = 0.045; r = 0.331 * (p = <0.05) shows a significant relationship with the level of a strong positive correlation between hematocrit and length of stay, for the Platelet variable the significance value is p = 0.049; r = -0.419 (p = <0.05) shows a significant relationship with the level of strong negative correlation. Can be deduced the higher the hematocrit the longer undergo hospitalization and the lower the number of platelet then the longer undergo hospitalization. Keywords: DHF, length of stay, hematocrit and platelets.
