Abstrak
Katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynous) come from the Euphorbiaceae family which contain compounds such as protein, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, saponins, flavonoids, and alkaloids. This plant is used traditionally for the treatment of inflammation. The purpose of this study was to determine the anti-inflammatory activity of the fraction of N-hexane, water ethanol and ethyl acetate katuk leaves against white rats (Rattus norvegicus). A total of 25 white rats were divided into five groups, negative control group 1 was given 0.5% CMC Na suspension, positive control group 2 was given diclofenac sodium 0.9 mg / 200 gram BB and groups 3, 4, and 5 were given test suspension with ethanol fraction of water, N-hexane and ethyl acetate at a dose of 200 mg / 200 grams BW. Inflammation was measured by the volume of inflammation of the rat's feet using a pletismometer, measurements were made before the induction of 0.1 ml of egg whites and after giving a suspension of each fraction, measurements were carried out every 60 minutes for 6 hours. Data were statistically analyzed using the One Way ANOVA (Analysis of variance) method showing that the fraction of n-hexane, ethanol water and ethyl acetate katuk leaves at a dose of 200 mg / KgBB had anti-inflammatory activity. Based on the percentage value of the ability of the fraction as an anti-inflammatory which has the greatest power, the n-hexane fraction is 46.13%, then the ethanol fraction of water is 43.13% and the ethyl acetate fraction is 43.07%. Keywords: Anti-inflammatory Sauropus androgynus N-Hexane Faction, Water Ethanol and Ethyl Acetat
