Abstrak
Macrozoobenthos are relatively large aquatic organisms with limited mobility and are sensitive to environmental changes. This study aims to identify species, analyze the diversity of macrozoobenthos, and assess the water quality in the intertidal zone of Pantoloan Harbor, Palu City. The method used was purposive sampling at three stations. The results of the study found 4 species from the Gastropoda class namely Nerita undata, Nassarius pullus, Thylothais aculeata and Conus ebrareus, with the highest number of individuals in N. pullus. The diversity index (H’) value ranged from 0.92-1.14 (low-moderate). Environmental parameters included temperature 26,5–36°C, pH 6,76–6,84, DO 4,75–4,90 mg/L, salinity 32–36 ppt, and oil content 0,02–0,62 mg/L. Water conditions still support macrozoobenthos life despite anthropogenic pressure, so it can be used as bioindicators of water quality. Keywords: Macrozoobenthos, Diversity, Water Quality, Bioindicators, Pantoloan Port.
