Abstrak
Grouping Rhododendron uses morphological characters often cause systematic problems especially in the level of infrageneric, such as a diversity of vegetative organs or morphological flowers that are relatively uniform. It is therefore required molecular data in support of the identification of Rhododendron mainly using chloroplast genome marker. This study aims to determine the species of Rhododendron from the path of Rorekautimbu ascent based on phylogenetic analysis using the chloroplast genome marker. A total of 7 samples (Ag 01-Ag 07) were collected for phylogenetic analysis. A chloroplast DNA amplification in this study using the matK and trnL-ndhJ primer, as well as to reconstruct the phylogenetic tree used the Neighbor-Joining method. The results showed different topologies, in which Sequen matK with sample numbers Ag 01, Ag 02, Ag 03, and Ag 06 were not able to be grouped with the BLAST result Sequen so that the species or relatives were not known. While on sample Ag 07 is not obtained Sequencing results. Sequen trnL-ndhJ, all samples resemblance to the same Sequen Rhododendron, the Rhododendron dauricum. In addition, if based on morphological data, the primer matK and trnL-ndhJ have not been used in phylogenetic analysis using the type that is adapted from this research.
