Abstrak Telah dilakukan penelitian pemanfaatan ubi banggai sebagai sumber bahan baku pembuatan edible film dengan penambahan PVA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pati ubi banggai dan PVA terhadap kuat tarik edible film dan berapa lama waktu edible film terurai. Hasil yang diperoleh diuji kuat tarik dan lama waktu degradasi edible film.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan edible film menghasilkan nilai kuat tarik 2,25 sampai 4,31 MPa dan memiliki rentang waktu degradasi 1-4 hari dan ramah lingkungan. Kata Kunci: Ubi Banggai, Pati, PVA, Edible Film. Research has been carried out on the utilization of Yam Banggai as a source of raw material for making edible films with the addition of PVA. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of sweet potato starch and PVA on the tensile strength of the edible film and how long it took for the edible film to decompose. The results obtained were tested for tensile strength and the length of time for edible film degradation. The results showed that edible film produced a tensile strength value of 2.25 to 4.31 MPa and had a degradation time range of 1-4 days and was environmentally friendly.
