Abstrak
The research on the effect of temperature variations on the optical properties of silver nanoparticles has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature variations on the optical properties of silver nanoparticles that were synthesized with trinatrium citrate preduction substances and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) stabilizers. This research was carried out as an alternative form of finding antibacterial materials synthesized using relatively inexpensive chemical reduction methods and the possibility to produce them on a large scale. The chemical reduction method is carried out by dissolving silver nitrate (AgNO3) (0.0169 gr) into 100 ml of PVA and then reducing it with 10 ml trinity sodium citrate and tested at synthesis temperatures of 90oC, 110oC and 120oC. Based on the results of UVVis analysis shows that the higher the synthesis temperature given, the greater the absorbance value and the peak of the spectrum is at a wavelength of 426.66 nm - 429.86 nm with particle size based on TEM test results that is an average (40 14) nm. Keywords: Silver Nanoparticles, Silver Nitrate, Trinatrium Citrate, and Polypinil Alcohol (PVA).
