| Abstrak Research on the characteristics of ocean waves has been carried out in Tompe Village, Sirenja District, Donggala Regency. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of ocean waves generated by the wind using the Numerical Model SWAN MOHID. The location of the study was conducted on the beach of Tompe Village. This research stage uses primary data in the form of wave data and bathymetry data. Secondary data used are 2019 wind speed and direction data from the Palu Meteorological Station. The results showed that the pattern of sea wave propagation in the dominant coastal areas came from the North West, North, North East and East. Significant wave height occurs in March of 3.5 m with a significant peak wave period of 8 s at a depth of 3.4 m to approach the coast, with waveleghts 13,54 m, and wave energy 202,57 J/s. |
