Abstrak Flooding is one of the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia. Flood disasters can result in massive material losses and life losses. To mitigate the impact of flood disasters, effective and efficient monitoring efforts are needed. With today's technological advances, it's not impossible, let alone with the very rapid development of the Internet of Things. The research aims to design and build flood disaster monitoring devices equipped with location information and surveillance cameras. The monitoring device consists of two main components, namely, a water altitude sensor and a monitoring camera. This monitoring device is designed using ESP32 as a microcontroller. The water altitude sensor used is the JSN-SR04T ultrasonic sensor, the sensor for obtaining coordinates is the GPS NEO-6M, and the monitoring camera is the ESP32-Cam camera. The test results show that this monitoring instrument can detect water altitudes with an ultrasonic sensing accuracy of 96.9%. The GPS sensor NEO- 6M also provides quite accurate coordinates and the surveillance camera can also capture images with good quality. The device was used to monitor flood disasters in real time through the Blynk app and telegram from a distance. At the time of the test, the device worked well. The test was done with 5 variations of the distance between the transmitter and receiver ( Blynk ) 2.1 km, 2.7 km, 3 km, 3.3 km, and 7.8 km, which showed that the device could work well. Information about the water level, the coordinates of the location of the flood occurrence, and the conditions of the Flood location from the images received by the telegram can be used for decision-making in the management of flood disasters.
